Royal Botanic Garden Photography Competition
Since moving to Edinburgh from London, we’ve developed the pleasurable habit of taking regular walks in the nearby Royal Botanic Garden. Interestingly, my Google Maps timeline tells me we’ve spent the sum total of 60 days there over the last year and a half!
Having spent so much time in the garden, I’ve built up a collection of photos spanning every season - from Snowdrops in spring to snowfall in winter and much inbetween. This year I’ve entered 4 photos (below) into the Royal Botanic Gardens Edinburgh photography competition. You’ve got to be in it to win it, as they say.
A few years back I entered the Daily Telegraph’s ‘Big Picture’ photography competition with a photo of Chesil beach in Dorset. It didn’t win, but it was chosen among the top ten, which was great because that competition is very popular and gets lots of entries. Maybe this time I’ll go one step better. I shall, of course, let you know in a month or two if I win any of the prizes.
You can see more of my images from the botanic garden on my Instagram feed and lots more on my Flickr portfolio. And if you’d like a free collection of my photo artworks in eBook form then just hop on our mailing list below and we’ll send you a download link!
